The Artisan

Something I’ve wondered about from time to time. On one hand, technology has made it a lot easier for all of us to pick up new skills (or discover innate talents!). On the other hand, technology can also encourage compliments to the extent that it starts to become quite difficult to identify the truly talented. Plus, there’s just so much of everything today, that you need plenty of time and patience to sniff out the gems :-p

The return of the artisan

I like “a willingness to refine a craft and imbue it with something of one’s own”. Almost as much as I like “We need people who live and breathe their craft”.
