The river flows. The drops of water throw themselves forward with abandon,
going lower and lower – until there is seemingly nothing.
Only by being willing to and joyfully going deep down, will they enter the great big ocean and rise up.
Emmaus: for it was only when Jesus broke the bread, that the disciples who’d walked with and listened to Him reveal the Word, recognise Him. The Lord has been broken for us, that we may have eternal life, and finished, completed redemption from everything about and within us that is unclean. When once we have been broken, we too recognise the Lord – and realise He has always been with us, walking alongside and revealing Truth.
We are the ones who failed to see. How then, may others see Jesus in our brokenness and rising up again
– and come to recognise Him for themselves too?
Because nothing beats a home-cooked meal 🙂
From the mouth of babes:
“I love hugs. Thank you Daddy!”
“I like to see you.”
“Open your hands… and I will show you.”
“We have reached the end of the road.”
“No! Just turn the corner!”
