Enroute Sydney

The evening before: “Ok, you two can choose 2 toys each to bring along. Choose well.”

Up much earlier. Ooh, look at the fog! And oh look, the kangaroos are out 🙂

Daddy leads us all in prayer before we begin our drive from Canberra to Sydney. “Jesus, we ask that you protect us and give us a safe and quick journey. And that we will enjoy ourselves in Sydney and have fun together. And we all say – Amen.” Amen 🙂

Lake George – once a great body of water. Now all dried up. Grass and weeds. Cows graze there. A spiritual parallel about not drying up and letting weeds choke our lives.

Snacks… pitstop… songs… pictures… looking out for signs.

Bliss is having one child resting, cradled in your lap, and your other arm wrapped up around another child who’s sucking her thumb. All curled up together rather comfortably.

And when everyone’s in a better mood, we sing some action songs 🙂  :

He is Lord of the sunshine
And Lord of the rain
He is Lord of the good times
And Lord of the pain
He is Lord of the mountains
And Lord of the seas
He is Lord of the music
Lord of the children
Lord of you… and me 🙂

Little by little
One step at a time
He’s changing our hearts
And renewing our minds
Teaching us how to be
Patient and kind
Little by little
One step at a time
