Diamonds washed away

A curiosity for the day: deck chairs spread out in the shade of St Andrew’s Cathedral, next to a busy main street.

“What is that, Godma?”

“Miso ramen, sweetheart.”

“Oh. Misu Rum. … Can I have some?”

“Yes, you do. I gave you a small bowl of it already – but you need to finish the rice Mummy gives you first.”

“Oh. … The soup… kiam kiam…”

“Sweetheart, you really are a little Singaporean girl… ‘kiam kiam‘?!” hahaha…

Off to Manly!

Footprints. Get washed away.

Heated feet. Cooled down.

The water is really cold. Good for an awakening.

The waves come, and go. Our feet seem to sink deeper, but we pull ourselves out and carry on.

Watch out for broken glass, but don’t forget to admire the diamond dust in the sand too.

Before the diamonds get washed away.

… Or is it the washing away that reveals the diamonds??
