What a comfort and assurance!
When You did awesome things which we did not expect,
You came down, the mountains quaked at Your presence.
For from days of old they have not heard or perceived by ear,
Nor has the eye seen a God besides You,
Who acts in behalf of the one who waits for Him.
You meet him who rejoices in doing righteousness,
Who remembers You in Your ways. …
But now, O LORD, You are our Father,
We are the clay, and You our potter;
And all of us are the work of Your hand.
– Isa 64:3-4, 8
Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD
And whose trust is the LORD.
For he will be like a tree planted by the water,
That extends its roots by a stream
And will not fear when the heat comes;
But its leaves will be green,
And it will not be anxious in a year of drought
Nor cease to bear fruit. …
The heart is more deceitful than all else
And is desperately sick;
Who can understand it?
I, the LORD, search the heart,
I test the mind,
Even to give to each man according to his ways,
According to the results of his deeds.
– Jer 17:5-10
No Eye Has Seen
No eye has seen
No ear has heard
No mind has conceived
What the Lord has prepared
But by His Spirit He has revealed
His plan to those who love Him
We’ve been held by His everlasting love
Lead with lovingkindness by His hand
We have hope for the furture yet to come
In time we’ll understand
The mystery of His plan
No eye has seen no ear has heard
The good that the Lord has prepared
For those who wait on Him
To hear His voice
I am the Potter and you are the clay
Jesus take me in Your hand
And make me all that You want me to be
Jesus help me understand my purpose
And what You can do through me
Fulfilling my destiny
