Guess who came over for dinner? 🙂
“What are you drawing, Joye joye?”
“Oh Ethan, the white crayon won’t show up on white paper…”
[Ah, but there’s always black paper…]
“Look Mummy, it’s black paper!” – (eyes light up)
“Yes. You can use the white crayon, and also the yellow, this blue…”
“And this is you, Kor Kor.”
[Watching FM cooking furiously in the kitchen behind glass doors]
Joye joye: Oh! God-grandma is trapped!
FM: Help, help!
LB: Oh no! Let’s go and save her!… Let’s pass her a pair chopsticks through this hole, Joye joye! [door ‘knob’]
[Joye joye bravely delivers said chopsticks into God-grandma’s hands]
“Absolutely no more for them – else they’ll be bouncing off the walls tonight…”
Then we sat around for a while, played with the kids. Loved seeing Ethan fascinated with the box of his present – naming every vehicle in the set 🙂 And Joye joye: “Oh but the label is too long…” It’s true. The labels on the soft toy ball were so long, it made the entire thing look like an octopus instead! :p
“A hug and kiss for God-grandma?” – (run, bear hug, kiss)
“A hug and kiss for Godma?” – (run, bear hug, kiss)
“A hug and kiss for Uncle K?” – (stop, stare, hesitate…) “No.”
“A hug and kiss for God-grandpa?” – (stop, stare, shakes head…) “No.”
“More hugs and kisses for God-grandma and Godma?”
Well done, young lady! You’re a smart one. That’s the way – you’re not giving your hugs and kisses away to the boys! They’d better earn it!
