Dinner So Fair

Suggested to FM that we do a steamboat dinner this year for CNY Eve. Lesser work, more enjoyment. She in turn decided on a process for determining the items. Each of us had to write down 5 items that we’d really like to see in the pot – the only rule being: no discussion. Only second-guessing each other (and some people are more readable than others). In the worst (or best, depending on how you look at it) case scenario, we’d end up with 20 items. Prepared for that? Yups! Alright. …ย But nah. That didn’t happen. There were overlaps…

i’ve learnt that fresh mint leaves (they seem bigger here tho) thrown in for a few min right at the end make the hotpot smell heavenly. and they taste really yummy too! we have them with every hotpot meal here and i highly recommended it back home for our own CNY hotpot too ๐Ÿ™‚
