Lent (XIII) – Safe Darkness

It is a privilege to be experiencing a small part of the Lord’s Passion.

We do have a Great High Priest who knows and fully understands our weaknesses. He suffered more than I ever will, although He deserved none of it. Although He committed no sin and no deceit was found in His mouth, He suffered for me, and kept entrusting Himself to God. He has left me an example, and steps I may follow.

He is who He is; therefore I am safe in this darkness. Held by Him. Looking to Him. He is sovereign over the darkness of vulnerability, brokenness, grief and remorse.

“Fully walk this darkness. It is not easy… but Lent gives way to Easter.”

Easter joy comes after Lenten sorrow.

He redeems. He redeems.

Everything that happens can help you – if you let it.

Prone to leave the God I love! Take my heart and seal it for Your courts above.

A broken spirit and a contrite heart
You will not despise
You will not despise
You desire truth in the inward parts
A broken spirit and a contrite heart

Where have all the flowers gone? They were everywhere just 8 weeks ago! There isn’t a single one left…

(In January)

(In March)

But look!
