What’s Your Anchor?

A while ago, someone in this dear class sent a reminder round to everyone that in 2012, they would be celebrating 10 years of friendship. So cool, huh?

The emails went back and forth for a bit about a grand 10th anniversary celebration – and that discussion is still going on. (Was joking with some of them this evening that if they really wanted the nostalgia, they could try booking the original venue in which they had their classes, and even have it set up the same way. I still have the archival photos with me, down to the programme folder design and room setup :p – if they need some references…)

In the meantime, they decided it was appropriate to have a pre-10th anniversary celebration. Haha 🙂 Not that they ever need a reason to meet up…

I love hearing and watching them talk. After this many years, they remain curious about the many diverse areas of work and responsibility they all hold. They listen to each other’s stories, share experiences and laugh about stuff. The conversations aren’t only about work, of course – also about family, friendship and common gripes and loves. A few life shifts, myself included. Good to reconnect, in new capacities. Humbled that they are curious to hear about my little adventure 🙂

Lovely YC had something for everyone again. I don’t tire of hearing her speak of her convictions. She’s not arrogant, just sincere and simple – so much beauty there. Just says it as it is, yet with a lot of respect, humility and earnestness. Admiration 🙂
