Mid-afternoon, among the clouds.
So little around, and yet all of God’s glory to behold.
A quiet window. A very tired body. A wondering mind. A searching heart that knows what it seeks.
A heart that seeks its Maker.
Then, a blessed moment.
Your God has commanded your strength; Show Yourself strong, O God, who have acted on our behalf. … Ascribe strength to God; His majesty is over Israel and His strength is in the skies. O God, You are awesome from Your sanctuary. The God of Israel Himself gives strength and power to the people. Blessed be God! – Psalm 68:28, 34-35
Clouds are such delightful things. At that height, they look anything but light and fluffy. But you know that’s what they are.
Today’s clouds made me think of what J and I used to sometimes say and laugh about: going to heaven, bouncing on clouds and scattering flowers all around.
Walking on clouds.
Must be quite nice.
Like stepping on gigantic pillows…
Wait a minute.
How do I step on vapour? Won’t I drop right through?…
It takes a whole lot of faith to walk on clouds.
“’Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet My unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor My covenant of peace be removed,’ says the Lord, ‘who has compassion on you.’” – Isaiah 54:10
