“I don’t mean it in a bad way you know…”
“Yes, I know 🙂 It’s true – it is, honestly, simply a tool.”
“Ok, maybe not JUST a tool, just ONE tool, but a whole set of… well, what would you call it?”
“Approaches, maybe… but I know what you mean. It will ride itself out, as many things before it have. … I call it ‘season’.”
“Yes, yes… everything has its… lifespan.”
I pray to recognise the rhythm of its lifespan. Know wisely that it will one day end, even as it is just beginning.
When I’ve done what I’m supposed to, when it’s achieved what it’s meant for – His purposes – then it will be time.
Modern-day pillars of cloud and fire.
The number of days each of us has, written lovingly by God into His book, way before any of them came to be.
No typos, no skipped words, no errors.
We live our life stories from word to word, but His hand is upon us, holding the chapters together. His preservation.
And there is His Love.
Of His Love, there is no lifespan.
It is forever, it spans life.
No, more than spans life. Has been long before we got here, and will be long after our final (earthly) chapters have been read.
His Love prevails.
