We invariably drop some balls. It can’t be helped. We are so terribly imperfect.
To make things worse, we often take on more than we’re able to handle well… And some things we’re not even meant to take on in the first place!
Over and over, it happens.
Sometimes we are jolted by a health scare. Loss of a loved one. A relatively less traumatising career failure. Moved by an inspiring story of a well-lived life that was simply too short (by our human terms). Whatever it be… it’s some ‘interruption’ to our plans, our purposes, our picture of who we are, what we can do and where we are going. A shake-up. A sense of failure. A terrifying feeling that – we’re actually not in control.
It’s in times like these, that our anchors show.
We were in rehearsal this evening again.
In order to do the tasks on hand well…
… we’ve got to have the right focus first.
But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love. – 1 Cor 13:13
His Love always prevails.
