It’s Epiphany tomorrow. Another year.
The first days of the calendar year have been a mixed bag. Things that were issues in 2013, don’t suddenly stop being problems. But I also find it incredible that in just the first three days of the year, I have 12 Gratitudes!
God has given grace: showing me these things; helping me to be able to see them; and giving me strength to be sincerely thankful for them.
I pray that there will be room in my heart for Him, so that His revelations won’t be like pearls thrown to swine – imperishable treasures that I ignore in favour of wallowing in mud. :p
“Yet, today when God deals with us, it is not yesterday’s love that He brings. It is a new fresh supply from His heart. … Lam 3:23 injects hope in the midst of everything that is falling apart. “Steadfast love” is covenant language. It simply means that His commitment to love us is sealed in a lasting arrangement.” – Bishop Wee Boon Hup, The Methodist Message
“There is the door where lies the strait path of holiness and grace, which leads to pastures of peace and joy and to the eternal kingdom. And there are other doors. Which doors should I choose as I stand at the cusp of this new year?” – Dr Oliver Seet, The Methodist Message
“And so they left, and on their way they saw the same star they had seen in the East. When they saw it, how happy they were, what joy was theirs! It went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was.” – Matt 2:19-20 (GNT)
God guided. God showed up. They recognised.
He still guides today. He still shows up. Do I recognise?
