“But the plans of the Lord stand forever, the purposes of His heart through all generations.” – Psalm 33:11 (NIV)
“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” – Hebrews 6:19 (NIV)
“And surely I will be with you always, to the very end of the age.” – Matthew 28:20 (NIV)
On the way to meet TC at GM this morning, I listened to the final Pray As You Go for the year. John 1:3-5. “Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (NIV). Another strain flowed in – Laura Harbert’s confident voice: “… even the darkness will not be dark to you;” – Psalm 139:12a (NIV). Just then, the cab entered a tunnel. Light from my iPad screen, blinding. Entering darkness, its light was not quenched, but grew bigger. A created thing, holding light from within. What more the Uncreated One though whom all things were made, and are continually remade each day?
